Every meaningful story begins with an introduction.
You may know one of the six people we have not yet met, or hold a key that lets the documentary see a part of Sydney honestly.
Nominate a person
Tell us about someone whose lived experience, present-day journey and daily world deserve to be understood. A useful introduction explains why this person, why now and what the audience could witness with them.
Open a door
Offer access to a workplace, location, family environment or community that is normally difficult to film. The minimum request is the opportunity to discuss appropriate people and responsible access.
Share perspective
Cultural, community and subject-matter advisers can help the documentary ask better questions, avoid assumptions and recognise the details that matter.
Discuss the film’s future
We welcome early conversations about screenings, festivals, education, community engagement and distribution where there is a genuine fit with the documentary.
Participation does not require a financial contribution. The first conversation is about the person, the story, access, consent and whether the documentary is the right fit.
